answers:

JOFFREY BALLET SCHOOL! I went for the summer intensive this year and i loved it (NYC) amazing teachers and a wonderful program!

Lizzie asks…

how important is singing to an audition at suny purchase?

I can act but i can’t sing. any loop holes or look should i count that school out?

answers:

If you’re attending the school for the opera program… Then clearly it’s out.

If you’re attending for acting… Then it’s not a huge deal. But they generally only accept a few students a year for the acting program out of hundreds, so be very prepared because you have some MAJOR competition.

Thomas asks…

(I’m in 12th grade) How do I write an artist statement for colleges like CalArts and SUNY Purchase?

I have no idea what these colleges intend for me to write. They have no limits on length and they don’t say exactly what to write about.
I want to major in film. What is an artist statement and how do I go about writing one? What will they look for?

answers:

They’re looking to see that you are truly interested in film and attending their school; in other words, they want to get their money’s worth out of you. Show them you’ll be a dedicated student who won’t drop out.
